Rural Fire Service Queensland
The Rural Fire Service Queensland (RFSQ) provides fire services to rural, semi-rural and some urban fringe areas - 93% of Queensland.
It's ranks include over 31,000 volunteers and 2400 fire wardens. RFSQ volunteers and paid support staff fight fires, assist the community with hazard reduction burns and help the community prepare for fire season.
RFSQ also manages a network of fire wardens who issue permits to burn.
